Plan a wine tasting day that still feels relaxed

A great Napa or Sonoma day is less about how many wineries you “hit” and more about buffer time, lunch, and a driver who knows where the lots pinch. We move you between appointments—usually in your vehicle ($49/hr base + 20% gratuity)—or in ours if you prefer a turnkey van or bus.

Pacing that matches how tastings actually run

Tastings rarely end exactly on the hour. Properties sit on hills with one-lane approaches, and Saturday lunch windows book solid. Build a schedule with slack—or you will spend the afternoon apologizing to the group.

Three to four stops + lunch

That pattern fits most full days without turning the route into a sprint. Add a fifth only if visits are short or very close together.

45–90 minutes between departures

Use the wide end when you are crossing valleys or visiting estates with long driveways and check-in lines.

Anchor lunch

Lock a midday reservation before you fill the afternoon; it prevents a 3 p.m. crash when everyone is hungry and tastings overlap.

One “flex” stop

Keep either the last tasting or a scenic pullout optional so you can absorb delays earlier in the day.

What we handle vs. what stays on your plate

  • Us: Sober driving, parking logistics, realistic drive times between your booked stops, and calm adjustments when one visit runs long.
  • Wineries: Reservations, fees, and guest policies—they set the rules; we help you arrive on time.
  • You: The final list of properties and any prepaid experiences. Send us that list when you request a quote so we can sanity-check the map.

Pick the transport layer that fits the day

We drive your car

Best when you already have the right SUV or rental and want one familiar vehicle all day. Hourly model with six-hour minimum.

We bring the vehicle

Sedan through party bus—everyone in one chassis, chauffeur included. Compare capacities and hourly ranges on the fleet page.

Celebration groups

Bachelorette and multi-house weekends often need vans or buses plus tighter timing between brunch, tastings, and dinner—start on the groups page.

Wine day FAQ

How many wineries fit in one day?

Most groups do well with three to four tasting stops plus a sit-down lunch. More than that usually feels rushed unless visits are very short or geographically tight.

Do you book our tastings?

Wineries control their own reservations. We help you stay on schedule once your times are set and can suggest properties by style and budget when you are still deciding.

Should we drive our own car or use your vehicle?

If you have a suitable car or rental, an hourly designated driver in your vehicle is often the simplest. If you are flying in or want everyone in one larger vehicle, compare chauffeured options on our fleet page.

Napa and Sonoma in the same day—realistic?

Sometimes, if stops are near the county line and you accept less room for spontaneity. Share your must-visits and we will tell you if the map matches your hours.
